Dr. Leon has spent over twenty years specializing in all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He earned his medical degree from Falcultad de Medicina Universidad Autonoma de Mexico and completed his internship at Phoenix Memorial Hospital. He also completed his General Surgery Residency program at the V.A. Medical Center which is affiliated with The Ohio State University, where he became a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Leon was drafted to serve in the US Army, spending part of his time in the Vietnam war. Complementing his extensive medical education, Dr. Leon has a long honorable military career, earning the Vietnam War Medal with three clusters, the Bronze Star Medal, the National Defense Medal, and the US Air Force Meritorious Service Medal. He is a former Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army and Air Force.
He later completed a fellowship in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center while continuing to serve his country in the US Army and US Air Force Reserves. During that time, Dr. Leon completed a Fellowship in Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery in the Graduate Hospital affiliate to the University of Pennsylvania, becoming a Diplomat of American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Leon has been in private practice in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in Scottsdale, Arizona since 2001 and serves as Medical Director of the New Age Cosmetic Surgery Center. He is licensed in Arizona, Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
